Early Lead For Amanda-Clearcreek Seals Fate For Liberty Union Lions Varsity

Liberty Union Lions Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 15-8 loss to Amanda-Clearcreek on Friday. Amanda-Clearcreek scored on a grand slam by Bolin, a double by Ruck, a single by Alford, an error, a single by Julian, a walk by Bolin, and a single by Mcclure in the second inning.
Despite the loss, Liberty Union Lions Varsity did collect 12 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Amanda-Clearcreek had 14 hits on the way to victory.
Amanda-Clearcreek got things moving in the second inning. Amanda-Clearcreek scored four runs when Bolin homered.
Liberty Union Lions Varsity scored five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Liberty Union Lions Varsity was led by Hailey Courts and Ali Ety, all driving in runs in the frame.
Ruck toed the rubber for Amanda-Clearcreek. She lasted seven innings, allowing 12 hits and eight runs while striking out seven.

Liberty Union Lions Varsity racked up 12 hits in the game. Looney, Raine Opperman, Courts, and Ety each collected multiple hits for Liberty Union Lions Varsity. Looney went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Liberty Union Lions Varsity in hits.
Amanda-Clearcreek racked up 14 hits on the day. Julian, Harvey, Alford, and Ruck each had multiple hits for Amanda-Clearcreek. Julian led Amanda-Clearcreek with four hits in four at bats.
